Wow it's been a long time since I posted. Reminds me of journals through out my life...kinda sporatic. But you know what I write when I have something to write.
Let's see, this past year has been full...I lost my job, tried my hand at staying at home(loved it), found out my budget needs me to work and that not having extra money stresses my hubby out. I turned 30 in June, took my son to Colorado to visit my brother before Isaac(brother) went to India for 2 months. You know I LOVE mountains. Being out there I once again was put in awe of God's amazing creation.
Mountains...Pastor Tim was speaking about seeing the Face of God in church, and how God met people on mountains...he made a comment how to the Hebrews thought of the mountains as "heaven's Suburbs", because they were the highest points on earth. I love the fact that God will meet us where we are, that our ABBA comes down from heaven and meets us.
That we can call out DADDY, take his face in our hands and look right at us.
Don Chaffer has a song that I love, actually a lot of songs I love, but this one speaks to God meeting us...If You Want To Get Free, from To Chase the Birds away, he says
"In the Gas station bathroom by the condom machine
"I heard the word of Lord, He said, "Take off your shoes
This is Holy Ground to, You know I came for the sick and the poor."
I mean come on if God can meet us there, if God can meet me when I'm laying on a friends floor stoned beyond all belief, then He will meet us anywhere. How amazing is that! God meets us where we are, He loves us...Wow...I am in a wordless awe of that...
